Jais 13B Open Release

Inception, Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), and Cerebras Systems announced the open release of Jais on August 30, 2023. The released Jais model had 13 billion parameters and was trained on a purpose-built Arabic-English dataset; the collaborating team also released an instruction-tuned Jais-chat variant. First-party institutional announcements also state that Jais was trained on the Condor Galaxy 1 supercomputer.
