SHRDLU development period completed
Terry Winograd later documented that he developed SHRDLU at MIT between 1968 and 1970. SHRDLU was a natural-language conversation program operating with a simulated robot arm in a tabletop blocks world, where it could answer questions, carry out commands, and incorporate new facts about that world.
